Job Description
Successful Artist Management Company is looking for an intern (at least 3 days a week) to assist managers. We are a small company and everyone contributes. This is an opportunity to learn about marketing, radio, A&R, publicity, digital media, and touring. The ideal person should be proactive, well-organized, hard working, love music, and want to learn everything they can about working within a management company.
Must have:
• A strong desire to work in the music industry
• Ability to work independently and take initiative as well as work closely with a group
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Proficiency in Internet research
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
• Discretion and be able to maintain absolute confidentiality as this position regularly handles sensitive information
• Ability to interact with people of all levels within and outside the company with poise and professionalism
• Strong organizational skills and be detail oriented
• Good time management and prioritization skills
• Ability to follow through and successfully complete tasks in a timely manner
Responsibilities include:
• Coordinating and executing the fulfillment of artist promotional campaigns
• Assisting with the scheduling of Artists promotion while they're on tour
• Updating touring grids, artist calendars, and promotional grids
• Sorting through artist general inquires
• Coordinating band's donations to various charities and silent auctions
• Auditing band's online assets to make sure it's portraying a consistent image
• Assisting Digital team in coordinating their social media content schedule
• Contributing marketing ideas during departmental brainstorming sessions
• Receiving and organizing band merchandise
• Completing a semester long project about what it takes to be a manager
