Full Time Job
Seeking a battle-tested Executive Assistant to A-List Director-Writer-Producer with projects in various stages of development and in multiple mediums. Must be detail-oriented and meticulous, with exceptional organizational skills. High discretion is a must. Candidate would also be functioning as the liaison between the Principal and studio executives, agents and talent, so they must have a friendly, positive demeanor. Requires on-call on phone during weekends if need arises. Principal works long hours but EA would keep regular business hours during week. Should be a career Executive Assistant.
Being willing to travel internationally is a bonus but EA candidate would be just as good a fit if she or he cannot leave LA because of child/children and are looking for steady but interesting and demanding work.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from a major university
- Minimum 5 years of EA, production, accounting, or legal experience
- Be extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Able to anticipate and quickly solve problems
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions, with a global understanding of issues, accuracy and common sense, effectively prioritize competing demands and tasks
- Resilient, calm under pressure and enthusiastic to do the work at hand
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel along with the rest of MS Office
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a busy, constantly changing calendar
- Interface with the top people in the entertainment industry, from talent to executives to agents, on behalf of the Principal
- Assist in managing multiple projects, including with casting and script tracking
- Take detailed notes during meetings
- Make travel arrangements (book flights, hotel, etc.), sometimes on short notice and manage frequent-flyer accounts
- Lead a team of three additional assistants
- Administer a very well-organized system of filing, research, literary, professional and personal material
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with film/TV production budgets and schedules
- Experience with archiving
- Exposure to/knowledge of the publishing industry
- Coverage skills
