I'm a director looking for an editor to take over the cut of my next project. It's a short and the current cut stands roughly at 12 minutes. We're having a problem with the structure as the initial structure of the script isn't working and the point of it all isn't fully coming across.
I'm looking for an editor with a background in editing comedy, and preferably experience re-working/re-structuring projects in post-production. I'm not sure what needs to be done to make this film the best it can be. It may be something where the whole story has to change or it needs to be boiled down to a couple minutes or anything else really. I've just seen the footage too much and I need a pair of fresh eyes to take a crack at it. This is a paid gig.
This is my second short film I'm planning to submit to festivals. My first, ''1968'', played in six fests including Dances with Films.
If interested, please email your reel and/or other examples of your work. Please also mention your rate and any relevant experience (comedy, restructuring, etc.). Should you be a good fit, you'll hear back with further details on the story and film.
