Our large production company is seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Post Production to join our growing in-house Post Production team.
We are a global company with our Los Angeles location focusing in unscripted content ranging from reality docu-series to cooking competition show, feature documentaries, and large stage shows. We partner with a wide array of major broadcasters and streamers. This role will report directly to the Head of Post Production and will support and oversee all aspects of Post Production.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Head of Post to further maximize productivity and find efficiencies in post while maintaining a high-quality final product.
• Effectively communicate with appropriate departments to provide support and timely budget and scheduling updates.
• Work closely with the development teams to guide them through the post process to keep them on budget and schedule while maintaining their creative vision.
• Review budgets for development projects and future series ensuring realistic funding on a show-by-show basis.
• Create edit plans that are within budget while leaving room for flexibility should circumstances change.
• Assist in scheduling in-house assets. This includes, but is not limited to, offline editorial bays, finishing facilities and staff.
• Onboard new post staff and train them in proper company procedures.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Post Production Supervisor or Post Producer.
• Knowledgeable in AVID, Premier and all other post production equipment and software.
• Ability to read and understand network deliverables.
• Experience with managing and understanding budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of production and post.
