Full Time Job
Full service production company focused on developing and producing documentary, reality, and scripted projects for television is looking for a coordinator to join our development team.
We are looking for candidates who are well versed in unscripted entertainment and have a wide knowledge of the development process from inception to delivery.
Ideal candidate must know how to use: Keynote/Powerpoint, AVID editing software, Photoshop, and After Effects. Candidates must and have solid writing skills for deck copy. You must be tuned into pop culture trends, the current non-fiction marketplace and posses a dynamic understanding of the entertainment landscape / key players.
We're looking for productive, enthusiastic and reliable individuals with a serious desire to advance within unscripted entertainment. The ideal candidate should be brimming with ideas and accustomed to working with deadlines with constantly evolving priorities. You should be self-motivated and understand the importance of submitting consistent, meticulous work.
Responsibilities Include:
• Coordinating all aspects of department and executives' schedules, including all meetings, calls and commitments
• Creating and maintaining department tracking grids
• Tracking scripted and unscripted television content. Keeping department apprised of television industry news relating to television series, producers, industry deals, etc.
• Participating in and taking meticulous notes during calls, meetings and creative discussions
• Reading and performing preliminary evaluation of incoming pitch materials, as requested
Researching ideas, underlying IP, talent
Deck Creation with Keynote and Photoshop
Writing scripts for sizzles
Cutting together sizzles (ideally on AVID)
Pitching new ideas to internal executives
Requirements:
- Prior experience creating treatments and/or presentation decks is a must.
- A good eye for graphic design and photography along with a keen interest in the arts/pop culture/advertising/music/film/TV.
- Must be internet savvy and Apple/Mac literate. Knowledge of Adobe CC (notably Photoshop/InDesign/Acrobat) is required, along with Apple Pages and Keynote.
