The Controller role will be responsible for several critical areas of the company's operations. This team member will report to the CFO in supporting both day-to-day and project activities that enable the company to perform optimally and continue to meet growth objectives.
CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounting oversight and management:
• Payables process management and oversight
• Receivables process management including quarterly and new clients fee processing, record keeping, rebates management, and continuous streamlining
• Quarterly internal financial statements preparation
• Quarterly and annual budgeting and planning preparation
• Work with accounting resources (vendors) to ensure financials are in good order for tax and planning purposes
• Track and update company financials and forecasting
• Identify/resolve complex financial reporting issues as needed
Performance measurement & reporting:
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
• Analyze and advise on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
QUALIFICATIONS:
o Ability to prioritize and manage numerous issues and projects while being responsive to all internal and external stakeholders
o Able to continuously evaluate and improve processes throughout all areas of responsibility
o Able to assist in determining proper treatment for financial transactions
o CPA required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
o Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Finance and/or Accounting
o Minimum of 5 years experience
o Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, comprehensive understanding of investment industry
o Comfortable making presentations to senior management
o Advanced proficiency in MS office application, especially Excel
o Experience with account software i.e. Quickbooks or similar
