JOB SUMMARY:
Contract administrators at the company are computer savvy, quick-thinking, deadline oriented. They have a good understanding of how movies proceed from beginning to end, and work every step of the way to ensure that money and information flow to the right places and right people at the right time. They are able to read and understand above-the-line contracts and distribution contracts. They can navigate the payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable process. They can meet the expectations of executives and agents.
The company is currently hiring a temporary contract administrator to join the team to help with the implementation of new database software and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities of the Contract Administrator include, but are not limited to the following:
• Develop and maintain the contract and accounting database
• Analyze above-the-line talent agreements and distribution agreements
• Input contracts into the contract database and ensure integrity of the information from inception and negotiation, through execution, payments and satisfaction of future obligations
• Handle record retrieval
• Generate reports
• Scanning documents and properly saving them on secure server
• Interface with various departments within the company
• Proactively review and evaluate the contractual, financial - obligations & restrictions, in agreements and deal memos
• Prepare payment authorizations and payment schedules for above-the-line talent deals, and facilitate timely and accurate payments as they come due
• Act as internal - and external - point-of-contact for payment-related questions
• Ensure above-the-line payroll start paperwork is received, complete, and accurate
• Ensure timely execution of new contracts and contract renewals.
• Enter critical dates in department database
• Ad hoc assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Passion and focus on film making, television, and entertainment industry
• Experience in office programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel) and google programs
• Understand relational databases
• Experience in Filmtrack, Rightsline, or irights
• Patience, the ability to multitask, willingness to work in a fast paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to think creatively to solve logistical problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of contracts administration or similar transactional experience in a role that requires direct interaction with various departments.
• Ability to work independently and to complete tasks in a timely manner
LOCATION:
Once a week at the company's office in West Hollywood, California (but the rest of the work week may be done remotely from your home)

Temporary (3 months), full time.
