Full Time Job
An exciting entertainment company is seeking a full-time digital savvy Communications/Community Manager who will be incorporating online tools and in-person networking to create and manage relationships and ultimately build the company's brand both online and off.
• Manage the creation and day-to-day publishing of communications on all channels including website, social, e-mail, paid media,
partner marketing, PR and events as needed to drive brand awareness, engagement, conversion, retention and referral outcomes.
• Build relationships and engage media and influencers, including bloggers, press, talent, and social influencers, etc. to drive
marketplace awareness, lead and conversion outcomes.
• Develop and coordinate incoming and outgoing media requests and pitches, and execute and measure PR/influencer, public
relations and event campaigns as needed.
• Create and manage incentivized loyalty and communications strategies to increase customer retention, feedback, reviews and
referrals.
• Support and execute multi-channel strategic marketing/communications campaigns and editorial calendars across brands to drive
marketplace awareness.
• Attend and plan industry and community events as needed.
• Use graphic design and image editing software, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator to create digital ads, email, paid and social
media campaigns.
• Support creating, refining and launching key messages and strategies to reinforce brand value propositions and key product/content
launches including pitch media, briefs etc.
• Leverage analytics tools to review, monitor and report advertising analytics to optimize ad campaigns and conversion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Skills / Requirements -
• Entertainment experience or understanding of the media landscape a plus.
• Previous experience writing and creating content for multicultural audiences as well as managing multiple communications channels
preferably in a consumer facing environment.
• Must have prior experience and knowledge of social media strategies, public relations, and experience working with web analytics,
display and ad exchanges, and community and content management systems.
• Up to speed with current digital and traditional marketing techniques and best practices
• Must be able to work well and multi-task in a team environment with a wide range of people and personalities.
• Excellent project management skills, an eye for design, and attention to detail.
• Must possess strong skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management.
• Quick learner, self-starter, able to work independently and willingness (and ability) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of
responsibility.
• Strong contacts and excellent relationships with key media and influencers across print, digital and electronic platforms a plus.
• Must have a strong knowledge and passion for Africa.
• Available to travel as necessary.
