We are looking for a researcher to assist on a high-profile, feature-length documentary about the history of film and the first woman filmmaker. It involves online research, fact checking, file organization, interviews transcription, preparation for meetings, etc.
As we are a small team, you would also act as Production Coordinator on other cool projects which includes everything from film title sequences, commercials, video games, on-air branding and content packages, as well as logo design. Must be proficient with Mac computers, with experience in Word, Excel, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign and be able to work under pressure. It's a high stress job due to the industry demands.
Job duties encompass general office duties including but not limited to the following: answering phones, checking voicemail, emailing clients, composing estimates & invoices, ordering supplies and taking inventory, coordinating the delivery and tracking of show reels, managing courier packages, petty cash & expense reports, archiving projects to hard-drives, uploading files via FTP client, and ordering lunch and equipment as needed.
Aside from the general office duties you will have an opportunity to assist creatively on projects.
Preference: proficient in French, especially in reading/translating documents.
Must be detail oriented, highly organized and proficient with Mac computers and programs such as Word and Excel.
Must be able to work in our offices in Los Angeles.
