Position Overview:
Our company is looking for an Associate Director of Development, TV & Film to join our rapidly growing team in Los Angeles. Reporting to our CEO and Director of Development, you will assist in overseeing the development of projects for TV and film, as well as intern coordination and office management.
Responsibilities:
Writing notes on drafts, identifying key talent, and working to find new projects.
Identifying new writers and creative talent through outreach
Forming strong relationships within the creative community (including writers, producers, directors, agents, managers, etc.) and with our creative partners.
Managing a team of 10+ interns, including hiring, onboarding, daily assignments, and reviews
Running payroll, creating expense reports and paying invoices
Planning script readings including scheduling actors
Going on runs and general administrative tasks
Desired Characteristics/Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be a passionate fan of entertainment, particularly genre TV and films. You will have a strong understanding of structure and narrative storytelling. You should have at least 1 year experience in TV or feature film production or development. You are someone who gives great script notes. You are organized, committed, self-motivated, and an avid reader/viewer/listener.
This is a full-time position working in our West Hollywood office.
