Seeking a full-time assistant at a boutique NYC entertainment law firm, representing actors, directors and writers.
Previous entertainment industry experience and familiarity with NY and LA agents, managers and other industry professionals is a plus but not mandatory. Applicants should be bright and motivated to work in the entertainment industry.
Position is one of the first points of contact for the firm and will be expected to speak with clients, agents and other professionals. Given this, the ideal candidate needs to be warm, outgoing, have a good sense of humor, be good on the phone and with people, and proactive while still maintaining professional nature. Candidate must also be detail-oriented and organized, but be able to adapt with ease to a hectic day with shifting priorities.
Position is primarily administrative - e.g., managing calendar, drafting correspondence, rolling calls - but over time may broaden to acting as a client liaison and participating in business development. There is significant opportunity to build your own contacts and relationships.
Work environment is casual, friendly and rewards hard work both in terms of compensation and assistance in pursuing any other industry goals.
