The Assitant to the Head of Production will provide extensive office and pre-production support for an active commercial production company in Brooklyn, NY.
The company takes on a wide range of projects covering a multitude of different products. The Assistant to the Head of Production will play a crucial role in a multitude of services that the company provides to its clients.
The position requires an enthusiastic go-getter who is resourceful, energetic, and fluent in the stages of film production. In addition to the basic administrative skills, the Assistant will work closely with the Head of Production in managing the company's schedule and executing the tasks needed to keep a multitude of projects on their feet and running smoothly. Be ready to be a jack of all trades.
This is an entry-level position. Recent graduates from film study programs are encouraged to apply. Previous work in internships that took place in a professional film setting, or previous work on quality student films will both be considered valuable experiences.
Responsibilities:
*Basic administrative tasks such as drafting emails, filing, answering phones, directing calls, taking messages, ordering lunches, contacting patrons of the company, and updating the company's calendar.
*Keeping track of billing and ensuring that payment is sent to our freelancers on time
*Greeting any visitors to our studio
*Keeping track of and organizing all production paperwork
*Filtering through audition material and building cast selections for the Head of Production
*Speaking with clients and addressing their inquiries
*Take on a number of competing priorities as they come
*Collaborate with the team and our Executive Producer/Founder on stories and new ideas
*Write shooting schedules, call sheets, and shot lists
*Assist on film shoots by overseeing the shot list and keeping the crew on schedule
Required Skills:
*Fluent in the stages of film production
*Previous experience in film production whether it be work experience, internship experience, or student film projects
*Administrative experience
*An interest in and an eye for production design
*An eye for good performances when casting
*Extremely eloquent and professional
*Wonderful writing skills
*Ability to multi-task like a champ
*Resourcefulness
* Fluent in the Google Suite
