*This position will start remotely during Covid-19 restrictions.
Essential Job Functions
• Create multiple backups for all incoming assets
• Ingest/Transcode media into Premiere
• Organization of folder structures, proper naming schemes, etc. of all footage kept on shared area network storage
• Creation & organization of offline projects for editors
• Run in bay sessions for approval with clients and producers
• Compress cuts for client and producer approval
• Picture/Audio preps for finishing
• Export, QC, and deliver final files to producing staff for client delivery
Knowledge/Skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening. Must be able to communicate at various levels.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent multi-tasking abilities and ability to prioritize appropriately. You will be working on several projects simultaneously with frequently changing expectations and deadlines.
• Ability to meet extremely tight deadlines.
• Ability to take direction and give direction.
• Ability to address notes with clients/producers in the bay.
• Exceptional problem solving skills.
• Self-motivated and driven.
• Levelheaded, calm, and functions well under stress.
Required Qualifications
• 1+ years of professional editorial experience required
• Understanding to intermediate knowledge of Premiere and Avid. Preferred experience with Da Vinci Resolve
• Understanding of frame rates, conversions, & codecs
• Understanding of HD/SD formats
• Understanding of shared area network storage (ISIS/Nexis)
• Experience with in bay color correction a plus
