We are looking for a Post-Production Assistant Editor to join our team! Based in the heart of Hollywood, our company is a full-time service entertainment group specializing in Creative Marketing and Post-Production finishing. Our video and audio facilities boast cutting-edge technology with creative and technical teams working collaboratively on a wide range of TV formats and feature films. We take pride in creating beautifully immersive content for the silver screen, television screen, and mobile screen.
Requirements:
• Previous relevant experience in similar role with a minimum 2 years of assistant editorial experience, Theatrical Advertising/Promo preferred, but Theatrical Movies or Broadcast Television acceptable
• Proficient knowledge of AVID Media Composer, Creative Cloud Suite minimum applications Premiere and Photo Shop, Final Cut Pro 7 and 10, and Quick Time and Media file codecs and encoding procedures for picture and sound
• Knowledge of DaVinci/Fusion/Linux/Clipster a plus
• Understanding of frame rates, conversions & Codecs
• Possess outstanding HD, UHD, 4K and HDR workflow understanding and HD/SD formats, file and tape based deliveries
• Ability to prioritize, juggle multiple tasks, take direction and give direction
• Daily communication with Online Editors and In-House Producers about the status of each project and any problems or anomalies
• Strong attention to detail with a strong work-ethic and an eagerness to learn
• Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be dependable, professional, and respectful team player and have the ability to adapt to situations with a positive attitude
• Levelheaded, calm and functions well under stress and flexibility in competently juggling competing priorities and changing expectations
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule and must be willing to work long hours and overtime on short notice, including nights and weekends
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
• Must be willing to undergo a background investigation
Education:
• BA/BS Degree in the film and media industry required
