Assistant - Commercial Department
Top Bi-Coastal Talent Agency looking for an assistant for the commercial department. You will be assisting two hard working agents who will help you learn the commercial landscape on all ends. Communication skills are extremely important working with high end clients as well demanding casting directors. Candidates must have an incredible attention to detail. They also must be able to juggle multiple projects at the same time. Basic duties include answering phones, scheduling actors for auditions/meetings, confirming appointments, and other office responsibilities. It would be helpful to be comfortable on Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The desk can be hectic at times so having a thick skin and being able to roll with the punches is a must! Perks include catered lunch on Thursdays and bagels every Friday morning. This is a full-time position with a starting salary and benefits.
This is an entry-level position.
Applicants must be based in the NYC area.
Qualifications and Skills:
- BA/BS degree required
- Scheduling Meetings
- Answering phones / rolling calls
- Checking submission lists for date conflicts/product conflicts
- Sending out appointments
- Updating client files
- Act as a liaison between clients and casting directors for sessions (confirming, cancelling, time changes)
- Previous assistant experience preferred
- Internships at casting offices and talent agencies is a plus
- Excellent written & communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Proficient with PC, MS Office
- Ability to comfortably interact with high profile clients and to use high level of discretion/confidentiality
- Nimble and flexible to succeed in a fast-paced environment and handle ad hoc requests
- A self-starter with the ability to think and work creatively and strategically
- High energy, positive attitude
