Job Duties:
• Maintain and oversee the department schedule, making sure deadlines met and milestones are achieved.
• Maintain clear and open dialogue with Producer, Production Manager and VFX Supervisor. Provide current information to other preproduction departments.
• Update status reports, sequence lists and tracking documents for the department.
• Ensure proper preparation for all meetings and reviews.
• Manage artist assigned and deliveries.
• Ensure that artists receive, understand and execute director notes.
• Manage coordinator or PA for department (assigning tasks, morale building, mentoring).
• Other Duties as Assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a film-related field
• 3 or more years of managerial experience in feature film production environment. with an emphasis in animation and/or visual effects.
• Working knowledge of the animation preproduction pipeline
• Passion for film production. Excellent organization, multitasking, and time management skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and oftentimes high-pressure environment
• Willingness to follow direction while paying close attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
