We are looking for an enthusiastic, process-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our company's fast paced accounting operations and day-to-day activities. If you have a degree in Accounting or similar, are a Quickbooks Desktop whiz, and want to be an active, contributing member to a booming small to medium-size business - we want to hear from you!
The Accounting Manager will be responsible to perform a range of accounting and bookkeeping functions, including: supervising, monitoring and maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, various forms of distributions, AR/AP, management of reimbursed expenses and financial report preparation with budgets designed to mitigate risk and improve financial reporting. Accounting Manager to work under the general direction of the Company President and off-site Controller.
Manager Level Responsibilities:
• Process and manage A/R invoices and collections.
• Coordinate and secure fee disbursements, working closing with different Dept. Representatives to meet client / project schedules.
• Monitor revenue / expenses while coordinating collection, consolidation and review of all financial data.
• Oversee month-end closing process, compile monthly/quarterly reporting of financial results and presents to the President and leadership team.
• Maintain departmental cash flow projections, monitor cash sources and uses of funds.
• Manage Accounting staff, assign duties and provide guidance overseeing work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Develop, Implement and standardize processes with procedures / software programs to streamline departmental operations to enhance workflow and department productivity.
• Review, monitor and generate historical, current and projected financial information - report on key performance indicators (KPI) / sales / metrics.
• Able to work independently and take initiative, as well as team up with various divisions and departments.
• Communicate and coordinate accounting policies, practices, and procedures with department / company managers and officials, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, customers, and the public.
• Ensure accuracy in compliance with GAAP and income tax regulations.
• Assist with payroll and Paychex related activities.
• Perform Accounting Clerk and Bookkeeper duties.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements: Successful candidates MUST possess:
• BA/BS degree. Accounting emphasis preferred.
• 3-5 years minimum Accounting experience in a small to medium size business environment.
• Experienced with QuickBooks V16 or greater and program features (e.g.; classes, items).
Qualifications/Characteristics:
• Experience in the music/entertainment industry preferred.
• Resourceful, proactive problem-solving and analytical orientation.
• Proven ability to multitask, deliver under tight deadlines in a demanding environment with competing and changing priorities in a calm manner.
• Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.
• High attention to detail, systems and processes.
• Maintain high level of ethics, confidentiality and integrity.
• Communicate clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens / seeks clarification; Responds well to questions.
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels.
• Possess strong Excel skills to prepare detailed spreadsheets using formulas.
• Managerial / Supervisory / Administrative skills and experience
