Accounting Manager - Production
We are looking for a general accountant with post-production and unscripted television production accounting experience. This position is responsible for handling all day-to-day accounting for the multiple divisions of the company which include creative marketing, post-production, and unscripted tv production. You will be working with multiple producers in a fast-paced environment with great opportunities for growth
Passion for the entertainment business and finance is a must!
Responsibilities:
• Prepare job costing reports, auditing timecards and payroll reports, and union paperwork and dues.
• Analyze bids vs. actual invoices as relates to job costing and profit margins.
• Take care of financial reporting, including general ledgers, reconciliations, forecasts, and budgets.
• Collaborate with line producers and the production team to help deliver un-scripted shows on budget.
• Reconciling monthly bank and credit card statements.
• Prepare month-end close journal entries and year-end reports for taxes.
• Prepare accounts receivable aging and collection status reports
• Manage receivables for all customers through timely and persistent collection efforts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, or related field.
• 3+ year experience in Entertainment/Production Accounting.
• Working knowledge of Unscripted TV Production Accounting.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to problem solve and work well with others.
• Professional working experience with QuickBooks Pro, MS Office Suite/Excel
• Knowledge of using Xytech for scheduling and invoicing is a major plus!
• Experience with IATSE and SAG rules.
