Our client is seeking a Demand Planner who will ensure 90% in stock rate on active SKUs at their distribution centers (DC) by preparing assembly orders, organizing and communicating exits of products, minimizing destroys and coordinating new product introductions. You will also plan forecasts; collaborate on fulfillment of sales and promotions with brand, retail, and marketing partners; manage inventory by collaborating with supply team/factories on production and shipments; report and analyze demand, while preparing forecasts to factories and DC partners; prepare and distribute work orders; administer destroy budget; support monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP); train and mentor associate planner(s); maintain data integrity; along with other duties.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
• 3 years of relevant experience in sales and operations planning, supply and demand planning, new product forecasting and/or inventory management, required
• Demonstrated ability to lead and implement a process in an organization or team
• Highly proficient in Excel to create complex templates with data dumps
• Experience in MRP systems; Oracle preferred
• Proven ability to analyze current trends, identify opportunities to deviate from existing plans, and provide actionable directives when changing an existing plan or creating a new plan
• Excellent communication/presentation skills -with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to focus on optimizing inventory performance while meeting financial targets
• Ability to multi-task, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, and work with a sense of urgency
• Possess good anticipation skills and the ability to challenge the status quo of current processes while providing solutions to drive efficiencies
• Strong sense of ownership and commitment to work
• Nimble and problem resolution oriented, and engage in both creative and analytical approaches to business strategies
