Overview:
Company 3 Method Studios Inc is looking to hire a Longform Finishing Producer to join it's production team. This position will report to the Head of Longform Production and is located in New York, NY.
The Longform Finishing Producer will oversee and manage our larger and more complex feature and episodic projects from the initial pre-pro phase through conform, color and delivery.
The Finishing producer is our foremost client facing interface and so should have great interpersonal skills, be meticulously organized and work calmly and professionally at all times especially during high pressure stressful situations.
As a senior member of the long form production team, this individual will take pride in mentoring and growing a dynamic long form producing team of varying skill sets and experience.
This position also requires participation in the review and implementation of strategies, tools and workflows to ensure the ongoing efficiency and development of the production department.
Main Duties:
You will be the primary interface between client production, client editorial and the various faculties and services here at newCo.
Masterful understanding, supervision and coordination of the digital finishing workflow including image acquisition technologies, digital camera types, best editorial procedure, online-conform, color correction, luts, digital cinema, HDR and deliverable requirements and procedures relevant to each of your projects.
Have absolutely exceptional client facing skills.
Meet with clients and drive regular status calls, production summaries and strategy meetings for high-profile projects.
Coordinate with internal operations, scheduling and assist teams to schedule facility resources, set project priorities and ensure timely completion of all intermediate processes and deliverables as per client production schedule and requirements.
Coordinate with internal data management team to ensure timely migration of all digital assets relevant to your project into, through and out of our storage infrastructure.
Ensure billing and project actuals tracking are maintained and reported weekly both internally and to client production.
Manage and leverage support from associate producer team members as required by project load and schedule.
Coach, mentor, and train junior and associate production team members.
Contribute to the long-term strategy and development of the department.
What You Bring:
You will have previous experience in post production project management for feature and/or Episodic projects.
You will have expert organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, monitor, and manage workload, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to learn and process information quickly is a plus.
You will have strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects which is a must and ability to perform in a fast-paced high-pressure environment with competing priorities under tight deadlines.
You will be highly organized and able to work independently within their own process.
You will bring strong experience creating and actively managing integrated timelines and budgets and work collaboratively with internal faculties including editorial, color, operations, data and engineering and past post production scheduling experience.
The ability to listen and engage different cultures and perspectives will be an add-on.
Experience with HDR deliverables and mastering will be considered a plus.
Xytech, Ceta and/or alternative post production scheduling software experience a plus.
