Facilitating and evolving a product design process that spans multiple brands and regions is at the heart of this role. Are you a UX lead or product designer that obsesses about the process driving the work as much as you do the final product? This may be your dream role.
As Manager of DesignOps, you will report to the VP of Product Design and work with design leads to help define, manage, and optimize the day-to-day efficacy & efficiency of the product design team and be an integral part of how we work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. You will have experience as a hands-on UX lead or UI designer and a solid understanding of the fundamentals and practice of digital product design. In this role, you will work across product design teams responsible for all digital products as part of the Global Multi-platform Product portfolio.

• Design and define onboarding product design documentation and best practices for GEG Product Designers
• Identify and connect similar use cases, user flows, and user experiences across product design teams
• Work with teams to design and define global design solutions
• Create UX checklists for platforms (Web, App, TV) and sections (News, Events, Shows, etc.) to be used by teams across Product Design
• Define product design processes, standards, and best practices
• Set up a team calendar (absences and release schedules) and JIRA Board to better keep the efforts of all of Product Design transparent and readily accessible for team members and stakeholders
• Champion evolving technologies and determine how to incorporate them into the operational and creative workflows
• Working closely with GEG Product Managers and Research to develop key metrics and create dashboards
• Build relationships to align and influence across GEG Product and Viacom
• Manage A/B testing process including hypothesis setting, KPI selection and goals, requirements gathering, test execution, measuring success, and share learnings
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of user experience and design experience
• An online portfolio that demonstrates user-centered design solutions with strong visual and interaction design skills that includes responsive websites
• Demonstrate an understanding of user experience design, information hierarchy, user-flows, composition, layout, color and typography
• Familiar with interaction design concepts and best practices for prototyping and communicating concepts
• Working knowledge of user research methodologies and practices and A/B testing
• Experience working with and documenting style guides/pattern libraries/design systems
• Familiar with front-end development technologies HTML/CSS and Javascript
• Ability to communicate user experience and design concepts to stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Agile development process in a large and fast-paced working environment
• Maniacal attention to detail in design documentation
