REPORTS TO: Executive Director, New Media Business Development
PURPOSE: The candidate will be responsible for helping develop new products and enhancements to existing product portfolio for E!, Style and G4. The Business Development department is tasked with driving new product and brand initiatives including building a wide range of mobile products and services, including extending existing capabilities in alternative platforms.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide product ideas and feedback for management consideration
• Direct and manage cross-functional teams (vendors, development, QA, operations, marketing, business development, etc.) to launching new products or site features and promotions for existing product lines
• Ensure formal product and project processes are followed, including PRDs, BRDs, project plans and adequate specs are completed and communicated
• Design and architect new products, features and services
• Develop and execute on marketing strategies, including search engine marketing, viral distribution, social networking site integration, and more
• Deliver products and projects on time
• Provide clearly communicated status and milestones to executive stakeholders on a regular basis
• Oversee the collection and evaluation of product and partner performance reporting and make recommendations to senior management as necessary
• Additional duties assigned as needed
• Direct and project manage on-boarding of new distribution affiliates including working with internal teams (marketing, technology, legal, etc.) to execute distribution deals
• Continuously monitor and improve distribution efforts to meet group goals and objectives
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have excellent quantitative skills with the ability to articulate product development roadmaps, as well as manage projects and budgets. Candidates should have a solid understanding of mobile product development, web development and a strong proclivity for technology. Candidate must have a minimum of 2-4 years of product and project management and development experience; MBA preferred. Must be proficient with MS Office software (Power Point, Excel, Word). Must have excellent written and communication skills, and show attention to detail. Experience in video distribution and affiliate management a plus.
