Responsibilities
The Video News Producer will be a crucial member of the UAE team, responsible for the time-sensitive creation of various video elements for TV, digital and social platforms. They will work closely with the UAE team to highlight key topics ahead of time and will understand the importance of turning video content rapidly. In addition to daily video and social creation, the video news producer will work on a catalogue of informative video segments with producers and on air talent. They will also work closely with producers on logistics and organize filming assignments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Liaising with UAE producers and managers to highlight compelling content ahead of time, and creating TV, digital and social coverage plans around key news events
• Providing non-linear video editing services to cater to daily live shows as well as long-form programs on multiple platforms
• Producing and editing video clips and overseeing from storyboard, through shooting and editing, to publication
• Scheduling digital clipping for videos from CNBC Asia and Europe television
• Distributing video clips across the network and social media platforms
• Packaging story copy including graphics and appropriate links to CNBC.com standards, making it compelling to CNBC.com readers
• Pitching, reporting and writing markets-focused news and analysis stories
• Copy editing and publishing videos to CNBC.com
• Working with digital and social media leadership in Singapore and London to ensure content attains CNBC's standards
• Working closely with the digital editorial team to ensure that relevant videos are placed in articles
• Transcribing major interviews for use in digital news reports
• Assisting digital editorial team in writing articles from TV guest appearances when needed
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience non-linear editing in a live broadcast Television News industry or similar
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and deliver in a deadline orientated environment
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and able to insert basic graphs and animations
• Keen interest in business news delivered across a multi-media platforms
• Team player and fast learner, able to adapt to various technology platforms
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good organizational skills and time management, able to multi-task and work under pressure
• High attention to detail
• Able to work shift and weekends if required
