Full Time Job
Responsibilities
This individual is responsible for scheduling and managing CNBC's linear TV promotional inventory on CNBC and CNBC World as well as implementing and executing digital campaigns and strategies.
Candidates will have a proven record of success in organization and data entry, knowledge of the media industry and be able to demonstrate proven results.
Responsibilities
could include but are not limited to:
• Opportunity to work within the CNBC Marketing Department among a nimble and efficient team of marketing, media, and production experts
• Work closely with Promo Media Manager and Director to execute media plans and identify new marketing opportunities within Owned media inventory across multiple media channels
• Manage the production, screening and scheduling process for on-air promotional snipes and bugs for CNBC Prime and Business Day.
• Responsible for managing, scheduling and trafficking of all on-air promotional inventory for CNBC World, our international feed
• Responsible for assigning unique ''house number'' codes as new promo spots become available as well as coding them in to multiple scheduling systems (e.g. Sintec, Webscheduler, & TIVO)
• Communicate upcoming creative needs with broader marketing team to ensure strategic promo assets are produced in time to deliver on media planning goals
• Handle schedule and format changes in a timely manner while working with Operations teams to ensure log is executed seamlessly
• Interpret post-reporting data and research to determine best media practices
• Schedule the primary CNBC log as needed, including execution of sponsored and pop-up graphic elements
• Communicate estimated promo delivery information to the Media Operation Center as needed
• Respond with urgency to calls and emails from Network Operations, sometimes in off-hours
• Work closely with employees of all levels in multiple departments (Creative Services, Graphics, Network Operations Center, Commercial Operations, Production) to ensure media goals are met and creative assets are delivered as needed
• Identify and monitor competitive intelligence and TV/On Demand/OTT industry trends
• Responsibilities may cross multiple CNBC platforms or media
• Other duties and projects as assigned
• Job duties subject to change based on business needs
Qualifications
/Requirements
-Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field
-Previous experience in marketing required
-Strong communication skills essential - both written and verbal
-Team player with creative ideas and great attention-to-detail
-Must possess the ability to prioritize and organize with little supervision
-Proven ability to maintain focus and cool under pressure in deadline-driven and breaking news environment
-Knowledge of all Microsoft Office Software required
Desired Characteristics
-At least 1 year media planning and/or scheduling experience preferred
