Responsibilities
Role title: HR Coordinator, EMEA
Location: London
Overview
CNBC International are looking for a HR Coordinator to provide comprehensive, operational HR support to our London and UAE employees. You'll be joining a collaborative and friendly team based in our London office and studio, where CNBC broadcasts live TV programming on each business day. You will support the HR Manager, EMEA and work closely with the wider CNBC International HR team and our NBCUniversal colleagues to champion our people agenda and ensure a consistent approach across the business.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build on their HR administration experience alongside the opportunity to support HR projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Employee Life Cycle and HR Systems:
• Maintain and update our employee database in an accurate and timely manner (SAP and eDays)
• Assist and support in the starters/leavers process
• Administration and support in maintaining employee life cycle records, including the preparation of letters to support employee changes
• Prepare contracts and letters for new and/or existing staff
• Manage new hire background checks, ensuring completion and recording on the HR System
• Ensure that all induction pack and offer letter materials are current and that all forms and documents are recorded according to our Company processes
• New starter administration and supporting managers to ensure new hires have a positive onboarding experience
• Ensure probation periods are reviewed by line managers and any performance issues are addressed in a timely manner
• Responsible for planning and coordinating induction sessions and other HR related events
• Partner with our Global Mobility team on all employment related visa matters for employees
• Provide support on external queries such as background checks for ex-employees and employee certification letters
Payroll & Benefits
• Work with our payroll team to provide accurate and timely data for monthly payroll process
• Run monthly payroll reports and update any monthly payroll changes trackers
• Liaise with benefit provider for escalation and feedback employee benefits/insurance matters
Employee Services and Engagement
• Provide outstanding first line support for day-to-day HR queries & requests from employees and managers
• Act as the 'go-to' person for employees and managers, providing guidance and support on Company policies and procedures
• Champion CNBC and NBCU employee engagement initiatives and ensure you can respond to queries regarding employee events and experiences
• Support the HR team in the delivery of employee engagement initiatives and events across CNBC International
Skills
, Experience and Requirements
• Experience of administration in a fast-paced HR environment
• Experience of managing payroll activities and following monthly payroll processes
• Knowledge of SAP systems would be highly desirable
• Ability to prioritise tasks and a pro-active, solutions orientated approach to work
• Familiar with UK Employment Law with a good working knowledge of HR practices and procedures
• A supportive and collaborative team member with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Methodical and organised in your approach to work with high attention to detail and a professional, calm manner
• Excellent digital fluency skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information
• Previous experience of process improvement in a HR environment would be highly advantageous
