Digital Content Manager, CNBC Prime
Responsibilities
The Manager, Digital Content, will support CNBC Prime and serve as the primary writer and strategist for CNBC's digital platforms. The manager will direct the digital team as they draw on a combination of original content and show clips/segments to develop and maintain an ongoing stream of digital programming; all in an effort to generate compelling content for fans of our shows.
This candidate is a writer and content creator with a deep passion for storytelling, always on the lookout for new trends and how we can continue to push ourselves to be best in class.
This position reports to the Director of Creative Services, CNBC Prime, and responsibilities include executing the overall digital strategy in partnership with the CNBC Prime's Social Content leader; maintaining and updating the editorial calendars surrounding primetime shows. Have a solid grasp of the brand's full digital eco-system including: cnbc.com/prime, dealornodeal.com, our YouTube pages and OTT platform content.
Specific Functions/Activities Summary
• Prime Time shows -This person will be the primary written editorial lead on all things relating to CNBC Prime.
• Content Development - Works with marketing team on strategy and content creation; developing storylines/written features surrounding the shows/talent. Engage external partners to create custom sites and oversee campaigns. Set up brainstorms to facilitate new ideas for digital; write out digital briefs; develop decks for upcoming show presentations.
• Industry Expertise - Identifies best practices and innovations with an ability to translate them to actionable learnings and opportunities.
• Digital Reporting & Actionable Insights - This person will also be responsible for understanding how editorial content performs on web and our digital platforms and utilize analytics and insights to inform content and posting strategies.
• Brand Stewardship – Be a brand steward for CNBC and our suite of programs.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Min 5 years related content creation experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Experience working in social media and digital content. Fully proficient in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube and emerging platforms. Experience posting to web preferred.
• Ability to navigate and prioritize in a very sensitive and sometimes high paced environment.
• Highly collaborative.
