Digital & Affiliate Sales Ops Manager (12 month FTC)
Responsibilities
The Digital & Affiliate Sales Operations Manager EMEA will support the Ad Sales team in leading the smooth running of the CNBC Catalyst Digital Ad Operations team and provide a key contribution towards ongoing strategic development of the international digital advertising sales product and partnerships. The role will partner with external and internal contacts including the wider Catalyst team, Marketing, Data & Insights, and Finance. Based in London and reporting to the VP Sales (EMEA), the Digital & Affiliate Sales Operations Manager EMEA will manage one Digital Advertising Operations Coordinator.
Qualifications/Requirements
CNBC Sales Organisation Operations:
• Deliver recommendations and advice on campaign optimisation and experience based strategy to guarantee delivery of campaign goals and objectives
• Partner with the wider Catalyst team and coordinate complex campaigns, including native advertising solutions, to ensure a smooth launch
• Lead the inventory management and reporting, tracking ongoing monetisation of CNBC International digital advertising. Provide availability analysis and make informed recommendations on pricing and product development
• Ensure and oversee delivery of reliable setup, tagging and trafficking of digital advertising campaigns across platforms and geographies
• Responsible for escalated QC and QA troubleshooting and problem resolution with creative, tags, clicks, tracings and impressions discrepancies
• Provide live campaign analysis and audience performance management to deliver advertiser KPIs
• Ensure compliant technical delivery of standard, richmedia and responsive creative across all devices, screens and platforms
• Oversee billing approval and reconciliation
CNBC Affiliate Operations:
• Collaborate with a network of established CNBC digital partners to seamlessly deliver campaigns, revenue goals, and evolve new products for sale - Pubmatic, Inskin, TEADS, Smartology
• Maintain relationships with existing affiliate partners and proactively seek out new tech partners for programmatic, PMP deals and header bidding
• Partner for smooth delivery across CNBC affiliate platforms including CNBC US, APAC, NBCU, Moneycontrol.com, Class Italy, CNBC Arabia, CNBC Africa
• Manage the set up and on boarding of tech and programmatic vendors who partner with this CNBC International
• Overview testing and quality assurance of new products
Management Responsibilities:
• Attract, retain and develop Digital & Affiliate Sales Ops Coordinators
• Delegate agreed responsibilities, coach and support the team to ensure they meet their objectives
• Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among team members
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in digital advertising sales operations
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of online and TV advertising sales, including programmatic, mobile and apps
• Experience of media sales and media planning on TV and Digital platforms
• Understanding of responsive design applied to website, ad slots and ad formats
• Operational experience of DFP, familiarity with rich media tags, basic understanding of Java Scripts, CSS, HTML5 and responsive design
• Solid understanding of internet technologies and 3rd parties (DoubleClick, Sizmek, AdForm etc.)
• Experience with Google Ad Exchange, LiveRail, The Rubicon Project, AdSlot and other programmatic platforms desirable
• Fluency in digital media language (CTR, CPMs, eCPMs, SSPs, DMPs etc), and digital measurement (UUs, PVs, Dwell, Viewability)
• Experience of order management systems: Operative One, and Google Suite products including Google Analytics and Social Media
• Knowledge of video ad serving (FreeWheel MRM Preferred) and DFP ad serving platforms
• Presentation skills and the ability to create compelling pitches
• Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changeable industry
• Fluency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Knowledge of the international media industry
• A team ethic and collaborative mind-set
• Willing and able to travel
