Accounts Assistant - 6 Months Contract
The Accounts Payable Assistant is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. The role shall report to both the Director of Commercial Finance & FP&A, and informally to the Assistant Financial Controller.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Perform day to day accounts payable duties including
• invoice processing and payments
• vendors' statement of accounts reconciliations
• employees' travel and expense reimbursements
• filing of all invoices and other relevant documents
• balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Liaise with various departments in respect of approval of invoices and payment of invoices
• Verify T&E claims from non-sales employees.
• Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash reconciliations and follow up on the reconciling items. Expected to liaise with the banks and heads of departments.
• Monitor the bank balances and perform cash forecasts for payables
• Responsible for the proper accounting & reporting of all expenses including bank charges.
• Ensure all payments to non-residents comply with withholding tax requirements by IRAS.
• Set-up of new vendors in accounting system.
• Perform vendors' statement of accounts reconciliations
• Preparation and submission of quarterly GST Returns
• Assist on other adhoc duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
• At least 2 years of Accounts Payable experience in a MNC environment
• Diploma in Accountancy or Accountancy Degree
• Proficient in MS Office suite, working knowledge in SAP would be an added advantage
