Overview and Responsibilities
We are searching for a Producer/Editor to be part of CMT's growing social media team! The ideal candidate will deliver digital-first videos across the social landscape including Facebook, Instagram (Profile, Stories, IGTV), Twitter and YouTube. They will work to develop new video franchises, timely memes and short videos, as well as cover live events for a host of local happenings. The position is located in one of the most exciting cities to live in, Nashville, TN!
Specific Responsibilities:
• Produce and edit short-form videos and content for CMT social platforms
• Tell short, compelling stories through digital means
• Conceptualize new one-off social videos and franchises
• Liaise with camera/production crew to ensure footage is collected accurately for our specific platforms
• Provide live coverage of tentpole and small-scale events
• Act as a liaison with Design department to incorporate key graphic elements and deliverables, as needed
• Contribute to team brainstorm sessions by pitching content ideas to help build video views
• Adjust quickly to changing priorities
• Meet tight deadlines
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of experience producing video content for digital platforms (or portfolio with commensurate experience)
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, motion graphics and Photoshop
• Functional knowledge of all post-production technologies, including ingestion/output of media, file conversions, media distribution and quality control
• Previous experience working with A-list talent
Additional Qualifications
• Strong understanding of digital trends
• Willingness to work some late nights and weekends during busy times such as awards season
• Creative thinker who can turn ideas into interesting stories
• Able to successfully work as an individual within a startup culture and fast-paced team
• Strong knowledge and abilities related to shooting video
• Effective working independently and is a self-starter
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously is no problem
