JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating and coordinating internal and external fan experiences with the oversight of the Senior Manager of Marketing. The Marketing Coordinator will lead fan engagement efforts such as fan club programming, and grass roots marketing activations. The Team Member in this role will also be responsible for overseeing the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse Promotional Team and fan club social media platforms. This role will also support key Marketing priorities that are inclusive of, but not limited to, Cavs promotions and theme nights, seasonal celebrations, and more!
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse Promotional Team by interviewing candidates, creating schedules, approving timecards, implementing training sessions, assigning staff roles, and overseeing the team on Cavs Game Nights, and All For Fun Tour events
• Leads programing efforts for the Cavs Kids Club including the sourcing of promotional materials, fulfilling Kids Club orders, customer service communications, email communications, and overall promotional campaign efforts
• Collaborates with the Marketing Team to successfully plan and execute large- and small-scale events hosted to engage the Cavs fan base.
• Reports to and communicates regularly with the Senior Manager of Marketing
• Assists the Senior Manager and Manager of Marketing with updating the Marketing budget as needed
• Updates program details, web copy, and content on cavsyouth.com
• Plans, executes, and organizes year-round grass roots marketing efforts and initiatives utilizing the interactive All For Fun Tour mobile trailer
• Embraces creativity by proactively seeking out new and innovative opportunities that will elevate ongoing organizational priorities
• Monitors and creates content for fan club social media platforms
• Collaborates with the creative team to request collateral and creative assets for various fan engagement marketing programs
• Communicates often with various teams across the organization to successfully execute events, and programs
• Tracks relevant metrics for fan engagement programs on an ongoing basis
QUALIFICATIONS
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience planning and executing events
• Strong written, verbal, and oral communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Willingness to work nights and weekends
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines on a continual basis
• Highly motivated, energetic and passionate
EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or University with minimum of two years of marketing experience, ideally with a sports or entertainment company.
