Clear Lake and Fever Recording studios are state of the art recording studios located in North Hollywood. We deliver an exceptional creative experience to a wide range of clients. Our services include recording, production, mixing, post-production, voice-over, live video, and much more. Both studios are firmly established in the music industry and continue to grow at a very fast pace, creating the need for this position.
We are seeking a General Manager to join our team of 20-plus music professionals. This individual is responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day management and operation of two studio locations (3 daily-rented studios and 6 production rooms) with associated staff and facilities management.
Responsibilities include:
Keeping all rooms in both facilities booked, maintaining relationships with current customers, including client outreach and follow-up, and developing new relationships. Managing/scheduling staff of engineers, runners, assistants, and interns including hiring, training, and coaching. Collaborating on marketing and promotion including social media and website upkeep. All administrative duties necessary to keep both studio locations running smoothly and maintained in world-class condition.
Skills Required:
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with superb attention to detail and strong communication and customer service skills. He/she is friendly, professional, and has integrity and respect for confidentiality. The candidate has a full understanding of studio etiquette at a high-end professional recording studio and remains calm under pressure. Knowledge of the recording process, equipment, and software are required. Must have excellent organizational skills and be a quick learner with the ability to work independently with little direction. Be able to communicate effectively with senior management and have team-focused leadership skills. Financial management including budgeting, bookkeeping, tracking outstanding billings, and follow-up with labels. Candidate must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and QuickBooks with excellent organizational, administrative, and planning skills. Sales experience a plus.
Experience:
Must have experience with the demands of a world-class recording studio. Bachelor's degree (minimum Associate's) with 5 years of experience in the recording industry, preferably studio operations, with supervisory experience and the ability to coach and train staff.
Previous recording studio management experience required.
