Full Time Job
Essential Job Functions
Develop and Produce video content for online, television, internal communications, and documentation to include writing, videography, graphics and editing.
Oversee project life cycle from development through delivery.
Operate video production equipment for studio, field and remote productions including camera operation, video switchers, audio consoles, teleprompters, robotics, and characters generators
Support other TV Tacoma productions, press conferences and other audio/visual needs when required.
Maintain awareness of artistic and technical trends in the industry.
Assist in the maintenance of the TV Tacoma video library.
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs of equipment
Work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and overtime.
Material, Software and Equipment Used by TV Tacoma
Professional video cameras (Sony PDW-700, FS-5, FS-7, PMW-300)
Digital Editing Software (AVID Media Composer, Premier Pro)
Graphics Software (Adobe Creative Cloud)
Lighting and Grip Equipment
Social Media Platforms (Facebook, You Tube, Instagram, etc.)
Video Switchers, Audio consoles, Robotic Camera Controls
DSLR Cameras, Lenses and support equipment
Miscellaneous office software and equipment
Vehicle Operation
Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have:
A Bachelor of Arts in communications, journalism, broadcast, or a related field
AND
A minimum of two (2) years of professional television production and operations experience.
Applicants possessing an equivalent combination of education and experience -- totaling a minimum of six (6) years -- will also be considered.
Other combinations of education and experience, which could provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job, will be considered.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATES AND OTHER REQUIREMENT
Valid Washington State Driver's License at time of appointment and maintenance thereafter.
