We are looking for a great accountant that will enjoy hands-on exposure to our unique entertainment businesses that provide a suite of services to a variety of creative talent, as they navigate their careers through the entertainment industry.
Founded in 1993, Sloss Eckhouse LawCo represents clients in all aspects of motion picture, television and new media financing, production and distribution, including writers, directors and producers, as well as production companies, financiers and television networks. Cinetic Media is a full service talent management and strategic advisory company for the media and entertainment industries including sales, financing, PR & Marketing, distribution, management, and corporate consulting
Responsibilities:
• Manage financials for multiple entities; prepare P&L, and ensure transactions are recorded properly.
• General Ledger maintenance, including managing intercompany transactions.
• Manage expenses and credit card spending and provide clean process for paying and booking expenses.
• Assist Controller in managing the cash position of Company.
• Liase with external Tax Accountant for all filings and reporting.
• Improve the Company's existing financial reporting to provide more insight and visibility.
• Partner with Film Sales and Talent Management teams to ensure billings are prepared timely & in accordance with contractual terms.
• Analyze and track all backend participation reporting and ensure amounts are properly credited to Company.
• Support Senior Management in improving budget process and forecasting, including festival travel and events.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Prior A/P and bookkeeping experience.
• Proficient with excel.
• Organized & detail-oriented.
• Strong interpersonal abilities, solid communication skills, an ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Comfortable directing your own work, but also a solid collaborator with demonstrated experience partnering with business owners.
