Full Time Job
Long-standing international film sales company, Cinema Management Group, seeks a talented Head of Operations to work closely with the company President. An ideal candidate would have similar experience at an international sales or distribution company, working in a fast-paced environment.
Operations:
• Responsible for running office logistics: supplies orders, rent, internet, security system, general liability insurance, printer servicing, etc.
• HR work/payroll including managing company healthcare, dental and vision insurance plan as well as running payroll and 401K plan. Tracking employee PTO, sick days, handling new hires and exit paperwork.
• Supplying company's tax attorney with needed accounting documents for filing company returns. Filing various taxes (including 1099, 1042, sales and use tax, etc).
• Maintaining storage of films at labs and on company's extranet
• Working with outside partners to make deliveries to international distributors
Legal/Business Affairs:
• Working with company legal counsel to manage Special Purposes Entities, file documents with the Copyright Office, order Copyright/Title Opinion and Reports, etc.
• Filing withholding tax exonerations, document authentications
• Legal documents related to distribution agreements, loan closes, sales agency agreements
• Supplying license end dates, filing out metadata for distributors, etc. as needed
Accounting
• Enter company expenses in Quick Books
• Gather payment details on payment history for Producers Statements
Acquisitions Overlook:
• Working closely with President to source titles, negotiate deals, and draft Sales Agency Agreements
• Attend screenings, festivals, markets, etc. to screen films, research markets/festival lineups and trade magazines, as well as reach out to producers, agents, etc. to source films
• Evaluate and give internal scripts and films for potential acquisitions
• track submission and communicate regularly with the company President and sales team about potential acquisitions.
Qualifications:
Extreme attention to detail and organization is a must
Team player attitude and ability to manage time and top priorities
Skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced office environment
Quick Books, Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Suite, Dropbox experience required
Knowledge of international sales and distribution experience a plus
Experience with FTP sites, Vimeo, FilmTrack/Rightstrade a plus
