Department: Baseball Operations
Job Title: Technology Operator - Sports Science
Reports To: Director of Sports Science
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Term: 2021 Major League Season
Job Purpose: The Cincinnati Reds are hiring an individual to operate sport science technology at their Major League park. Operator will be responsible for attending each home game in order to input data into specialized software throughout each game. This data will used for analysis by the Major League Club.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Arrive at ballpark at least one (1) hour before games.
• Operate specialized software during games.
• Export data from software following games.
• Assist in analysis, calibration, and troubleshooting of software before or after games as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Advanced knowledge of baseball.
• Ability to identify pitch types.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technology.
• Ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with sports science is a plus.
Requirements:
• Available to work all home games for the assigned affiliate, which include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• High School diploma or GED.
Please Note:
• This is a seasonal opportunity and no benefits or relocation will be provided.
• Technology Operator can expect to work an average of around 20-25 hours per week.
• Local candidates strongly preferred.

• Performs duties as workload necessitates.
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
