Job Title: P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy Volunteer Instructor
Reports To: Assistant Director, P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy
Volunteer Purpose: The P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy offers year-round baseball and softball instruction for boys and girls ages 5-18 residing primarily in urban neighborhoods. Volunteer Instructors will help teach and develop baseball and softball skills.
THE CINCINNATI REDS COMMUNITY FUND IS A 501(c) (3) CORPORATION.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY EXTENDED BY THE CINCINNATI REDS COMMUNITY FUND. VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE EMPLOYEES OF THE CINCINNATI REDS, THE CINCINNATI REDS COMMUNITY FUND OR THEIR SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES. VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE COMPENSATED FOR TIME DONATED TO THE CINCINNATI REDS COMMUNITY FUND. VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY BENEFITS.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Instructing 30-40 individuals the skills of baseball and softball.
• Create a positive, fun environment in which children and adults can enjoy the game of baseball and softball.
Promote high self-esteem and self-confidence by giving children the opportunity to learn and succeed in baseball and softball.
Requirements:
• Must have an available schedule from October–March to attend programming sessions.
• Must present self in a professional manner to interact with participants of program, and Reds Community Fund staff.
• Must have the ability to handle and coordinate large groups of people in secure and sensitive areas.
• Must be an energetic self-starter with an outgoing personality.
• Must work well with kids.
• Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
• Volunteers are subject to a background check provided by the Reds Community Fund.
Expectations:
• Adhere to Cincinnati Reds Organization Policies and Procedures.
• Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund Organization.
