Department: Baseball Operations
Job Title: Minor League Affiliate Video and Technology Assistant
Reports To: Coordinator of Minor League Video and Technology
Job Purpose: This individual will capture video at the player development complex and an affiliate at different times during the year, assist players and staff with video needs, incorporate new video sources, and assist with the implementation of new technology throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in the maintenance of internal video database in Goodyear, AZ.
• Capture minor league video at the player development complex and at an affiliate throughout the year.
• Capture non-game video as needed (bullpens, batting practice, early work, rehab, etc.).
• Assist players and staff with video and data needs throughout the organization.
• Incorporate new video sources, develop current video systems, apply industry best practices, and improve access to video and technology throughout the organization.
• Assist with the implementation of new technology (Rapsodo, Edgertronic cameras, bat sensors, etc.).
• Assist with the preparation and distribution of minor league advance scouting materials.
Experience, Education and Licensure:
• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• Good working knowledge of commonly used video programs and baseball industry technologies such as BATS, IP cameras, Edgertronic cameras, handheld camcorders, Rapsodo, bat sensors, HitTrax, etc.
• Knowledge of video storage, editing, production, formats, streaming, sharing, and frame rates preferred.
• Experience playing, working, and/or scouting in college and/or professional baseball preferred.
Requirements:
• Must be willing to spend part of the year based in Goodyear, AZ, and part of the year based at an affiliate.
• Excellent organizational skills, work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Able to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
• Must be a good written and oral communicator.
• Able to work with a diverse group of people possessing different backgrounds, personalities, education levels, and native languages.
• Able to identify pitch types and common baseball plays.
Work Environment:
• Work is performed in a locker room/clubhouse, outdoors where the employee will be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time and a typical interior/office work environment.
• Hours will include nights, weekends and holidays.
Expectations:

• Performs duties as workload necessitates.
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
