Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Title: Business Analytics Intern
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: SVP of Technology, Manager of Business Analytics
FLSA: Hourly, Non-exempt
Job Purpose:
Assist Business Analytics Team in delivering data and reporting to business stakeholders
Expectations:
• Adhere to Cincinnati Reds Organization Policies and Procedures
• Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Organization
• Performs duties as workload necessitates
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
• Meet Department productivity standards
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with the preparation of data and materials for projects and reporting
• Contribute to analytics projects, applying a wide range of methodologies, to support decision-making
• Conduct secondary research as needed, including information gathering from industry associations and research companies
• Work with business stakeholders to understand the business need and assist with providing technical solutions
• Proven communication and problem-solving skills are critical to successful performance in this role
• Understanding of integration services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services and SQL
• Generate SQL Database reports from existing database using BI tools (Tableau and Power BI)
• Provide data management expertise to the company by evaluating requirements and developing solution.
Experience, Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics or related field required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of SQL and Python
• Knowledge of dashboard reporting tools such as Tableau and Power BI
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good oral and written communications skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
• Willingness to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment
