Job Title: Visitor Services Ambassador
Reports To: Visitor Services and Retail Manager
FLSA: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Seasonal
Job Purpose: The storied history of baseball in Cincinnati is on display at the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum. The Visitor Services Ambassador, under the direction of the Visitor Services Manager, provides both supervised and unsupervised managerial support in daily departmental operations, which may include box office operations, customer service and support, management of incoming calls, merchandise sales and management, tour operations and building security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operation and management of all box office operations in ticketing and merchandise sales (Tickets.com and Revel POS).
• Ability to verbally disseminate museum information, both over the phone and in person to a wide variety of age groups.
• Greet and welcome scheduled tour groups and museum guests upon their arrival to the museum.
• Organize and maintain the appearance of the Hall of Fame's Museum Store and promote sales.
• Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of all museum operations and exhibits.
• Assist with museum special events and museum maintenance projects as needed.
• Perform museum opening and closing procedures in regards to security and maintenance.
• Assist Visitor Services Coordinator with scheduling.
• Adhere to all museum customer service policies and standards.
• Create and maintain Excel data spreadsheets.
• Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education and Licensure:
• High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Candidate must be willing to work extended hours (game days) and/or weekend dates as needed.
• Prior experience in retail and/or point of sale systems.
• Experience with ticketing systems (Tickets.com) preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Must have a high comfort level interacting with all audiences and age groups.
• Team-player who is self-motivated, creative and can proactively solve problems.
• Must present a professional attitude and appearance and have a desire to succeed.
• Must be open to learning and improving skills under the supervision of Hall of Fame staff.
• Must possess strong interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds or more occasionally.
• Knowledge of Reds history is preferred; or, the candiate must possess a strong desire to learn the history of the Reds franchise.
• Applicant must be able to quickly retain information on new museum exhibits and departments.
• Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
