Coordinator Of Health and Performance Program Integration

Job Title: Coordinator of Health and Performance – Program Integration
Reports To: Senior Director of Health and Performance
FLSA: Salary, Exempt
Location: Goodyear, AZ
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Strong focus on big picture progress of long term Health and Performance initiatives, continued education and team building growth opportunities.
• Weekly/Monthly micro goal development and seasonal/yearly macro goal development for the progressive direction of H&P department's processes.
• Work within our Health and Performance staff: Sports Science, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Mental Skills, Wellness, Nutrition, and Strength and Conditioning, by overseeing the department's data coordination and ensuring holistic program integration in alignment with field staff in order to gain meaningful objective insights into health or performance outcomes and generate actionable reports/visualizations for player plans.
• Oversee the process of objective evaluation for health and performance assessments and key initiatives to help our department improve decision making on the efficacy of the assessments and integration of assessment outcomes into the design and implementation of well-rounded, progressive, and actionable health and performance plans for Reds players as they progress in baseball skill, athleticism, and mentality on their path to the major league team.
• Oversee the development of an in-house Health and Performance continued education curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability in data analysis in health and performance initiatives utilizing database, statistical and visualization software (including but not limited to SQL, R, Python Tableau etc.) in conjunction with the Baseball Analytics team and within company IT standards.
• Collaborate with the major league Health and Performance department to maintain a unified direction of assessment and programming initiatives throughout the organization.
• Program development of internship programs for the health and performance department based on industry leading trends and organizational needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in sports medicine related field. Graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 years of Professional Sporting Level Experience.
• Previous leadership experience.
• Experience with database querying (SQL), statistical software (R, Python) and/or data visualization (Tableau) required.
• Independent judgment and ability to multitask is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work long, flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• High level of interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with wide range of departments, seniority levels and personalities.
• Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Work Environment:
• Hours may include nights, weekends and holidays.
