This position will play a key role in defining, developing, and effectively conveying Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment's (CSSE) strategy and positioning of the company's growth internally and externally. Under the direction of the CEO and the senior team, you will serve as a strategic thought partner to the members of the executive team in guiding our positioning to the public markets while ensuring that our IR plan supports maximizing long-term and sustainable value creation. This position reports to the CEO of CSSE.
Primary Responsibilities:
You will actively participate in the earnings reporting process by preparing quarterly earnings release deliverables including the shareholder letter, press release, conference call script and logistics, investor and Board of Directors presentations, and Q&A prep documents.
You will work with the executive leadership team to develop scripts, talking points, presentations and other communications strategies and materials that clearly illustrate CSSE's investment strategy and performance.
You will assist in serving as the Company's day-to-day liaison to investors and analysts, providing timely, accurate and consistent responses to inquiries and partner closely with Finance [and Legal] in developing finance-related investor communications and filings (quarterly earnings calls, 10-Q, 10-K, etc.).
You will plan, coordinate, and participate in investor conferences, one on one meetings, and conference calls with senior management, investors, and analysts.
You will monitor and compile research, competitive intelligence, and peer earnings results for both strategic and IR purposes.
You will monitor and communicate with research analysts regularly as well as reporting systems (including FactSet and Bloomberg) to ensure accuracies in their reporting.
You will ensure that ESG risks and opportunities integrate into CSSE's long-term strategy and assist with measuring and monitoring progress against milestones and goals set as part of the ESG strategy.
Required Education/Skills/Experience:
College degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 15 years relevant experience, preferably in investor relations, research, or corporate finance, and demonstrated extensive experience and expertise in financial modeling, analysis and research.
Minimum of 5 years investor relations experience in a high growth media/entertainment company.
Outstanding written, verbal and creative communication skills; including the ability to translate insight into content, create presentations, and create overall communication plans.
Must be a self-starter capable of working independently with superior attention to detail and sound business judgment.
Must have expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Requires an entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility and an ability to thrive and take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic company and high-pressure environment.
