Part Time Job
Position overview:
The Charlotte Hornets seek two part-time Radio Production Assistants for our Radio Network during the 2018-19 NBA season to assist members of the team's radio broadcast on game nights. You will assist the Hornets broadcast team in producing a high-quality radio broadcast. You will support all Hornets games, both home and away, from the broadcast booth at the Spectrum Center arena. You will partner to cover the game schedule, requiring night, weekend, and holiday work, between the two incumbents.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
• You will edit highlights from game broadcast
• You will re-purpose audio for in-game use in broadcast and edit features
• Serve as a runner for broadcast team; getting stats and helping book in-arena guests
• Log commercial reads (live reads/features) and pull for proof of performance
• Archive highlights postgame
• Disseminate audio for distribution: flagship/affiliates, social media, PR dept., etc.
• You will split the season schedule, including regular season (82 games) and playoffs, with the other production assistant
Required skills, knowledge, and abilities:
To perform the job successfully, you will have or demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
• Audio editing in Adobe Audition
• You are familiar with radio broadcasts and live broadcasting equipment
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people and develop positive relationships
• Able to multi-task under time constraints, meet deadlines and work within a dynamic industry/environment
• You are well organized, have a strong attention to detail and demonstrate an ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision
• You have excellent communications skills, written and verbal
• You are a self-starter who is resourceful and collaborates well with others
• You are able to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
