Summary
We are seeking a full time in-house Social Media Manager for a major entertainment franchise.
Responsibilities
• Execute and help design the vision and guidelines for franchise's social media presence.
• Facilitate communication with executives, establish KPIs and report periodically on effectiveness.
• Implement and maintain content editorial calendars for all social communities.
• Work with team to create original, high-quality content across all relevant social media communities.
• Oversee and adjust posting schedules as additional franchise media rolls out.
• Monitor, listen and respond to audience in a pre-agreed franchise official tone.
• Enforce the Social Media Guidelines as defined by the brand and ensure consistent visual branding.
• Proactively build smart workflows, coverage plans and processes so the team can work smarter, not harder.
• Grows audience and reach across platforms and the franchise.
• SEO and generation of inbound traffic across platforms.
• Create a budget-conscious social media marketing plan to promote key content and grow fanbase through advertising choices and tested strategies.
Required Qualifications
• Degree in marketing or similar is welcomed but knowledge and experience is paramount.
• 5+ years of experience managing social media platforms.
• Must have experience with Social Studio.
• Social listening software experience a plus.
• Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion across social media.
• Experience with sourcing and managing content creation, development and publishing.
• Exhibits ability to jump from creative side of marketing to analytical side.
• Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of both established and emerging social media platforms and how each can be deployed most effectively.
• Have an understanding of communities and be interested in fostering an ongoing relationship on behalf of a brand.
• Demonstrates excellent social customer service techniques - empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
• Highly motivated, detail-orientated with superior time management skills.
• Team player but with confidence to take the lead and guide employees when necessary.
• Maintains working knowledge of industry best practices, SEO principles and functional knowledge of WordPress.
• Have an editorial lens and ability to cultivate identity and tone across platforms.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
