Summary
We are seeking a full time Digital Asset Manager for our team of entertainment franchise experts and digital/social media specialists. The ideal candidate will be an experienced individual with proven capabilities in a variety of assets and implementing efficient workflow to drive timely asset distribution while maintaining asset security. They must be a highly motivated, self-starting individual who can work independently on creating and maintaining an organizational system, as well as work well within an established team.
Major Responsibilities
• Build and manage DAM repository including design of workflow, tracking, reporting, development of metadata, social media management and publishing software, and classification standards for both the franchise and social media teams.
• Processing and cataloging of assets not yet ingested to the DAM that adheres to internal as well as client-specific security requirements.
• Facilitate and manage the workflow necessary to ingest, manage, tag and circulate digital assets that are often time sensitive.
• Work with existing system to facilitate both the reorganization of assets and ongoing ingestion of assets as well as maintenance and potential upgrading of the system.
• Facilitate retrieval of previously cataloged assets when requested.
• Maintain accurate procedures and records for the system.
• Keep informed of latest Digital Asset Management technology trends and innovations.
• Stay up-to-date on content security standards and industry changes.
• Work as a partner to the rest of the team to educate, train and promote the use of the digital asset management system.
• Participate in regular team meetings with the franchise and social teams.
• Proactively contribute to the development of the systems workflows and processes so the team can work smarter, not harder.
• Other duties as identified and assigned.
Required Qualifications
• 5 years of experience in digital asset management.
• Bachelor's degree in related field. MLIS strongly preferred. Archival Specialty a significant plus.
• Adept at working with metadata and crosswalks, especially collaborative tagging systems (folksonomies).
• Working knowledge of Airtable, Box, and other DAM systems.
• Understanding of social media platforms and delivery norms for platforms is vital.
• Extremely detail-oriented and experienced with standard computer word processing and spreadsheet software. Working knowledge of XML, HTML, XSLT a plus.
• Knowledge of and experience in entertainment industry, especially film or game production, and knowledge of audiovisual production workflows a significant plus.
• Experience in a deadline driven environment.
• Experience with confidential and sensitive materials.
• Ability to juggle long and short-term deadlines in a dynamic working environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff; patience for training and support.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment where consultation, flexibility, collaboration, and cooperation are essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills capable of building positive relationships both inside and outside the company.
• Creative thinker with the ability to retain details and anticipate project and procedural needs.
• Mac and PC proficient.
