Work Schedule: Feb 11 - April 19; Fridays + 1 additional weekday + scheduled dates below, 16 hours/week total.
Application Due: January 25, 2019 at 5pm PST.
The Production Department at Center Theatre Group is in charge of building, facilitating, coordinating, and managing all the technical elements and artisan crafts that are presented on our stages; specifically the sets, lights, sound, automation, projection, props, and costumes. The Production Department also plays a key role in how these theatrical elements and crafts are utilized by the artistic staff.
The Technical Direction Internship is ideal for a student who is interested in any of the following areas of expertise: technical direction, set designer, master carpenter, production manager, and theatrical technician.
The Technical Direction Intern will shadow Center Theatre Group staff to learn how a show is brought from the design concept of a set designer to a fully produced theatrical show on one of our stages. They will assist in build drawings, budgeting, hands-on building, and load-in of a show.
