The Senior Manager, CBS Brand Social Lead is critical in growing the CBS social footprint to increase brand relevance for CBS. This role is a hybrid of social strategy, creative and production, and will also support tentpole CBS Original Specials, working closely with external stakeholders to deliver first-to-market campaigns on all brand handles. You will lead the planning, management and coordination of innovative and ground-breaking social campaigns.

Responsibilities:
• Ideating, launching, testing and optimizing social campaigns and strategies for a committed CBS brand handle (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) for both topical posts, extended CBS Original campaigns and CBS Specials
• Work closely with internal content creative, brand and social producers to develop and implement coordinated creative ideas, plans and strategies
• Help coordinate external agencies to ensure CBS continues to deliver outstanding social media campaigns from creative production to fan engagement
• Developing and owning goals and performance metrics for your specific channel; monitoring regularly to understand effectiveness of strategies and find opportunities for improvement
• Develop, implement, and lead the CBS Brand social media strategy for your platform
• Build forms of social media content such as gifs, short-form videos, memes, etc. in all sizes and formats
• Responsible for the copywriting, publishing of content, and community management on assigned platform
• Contribute to organizing, planning, and implementing live social media events with CBS talent
• Develop social activations and creative concepts that include talent participation
• Responsible for relaying brand responsibilities to counterparts and inform the brand team on important information from assigned pod breakout
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of social media and/or marketing experience preferably within the entertainment media industry
• Experience working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
• Shown understanding of the entertainment social media landscape, platform standard methodologies and a clear grasp of social media habits
• Proficiency in social media publishing and engagement standard methodologies
• Ability to use social or insight tools to pull and analyze trends and data
• Experience in project management software like Asana and Jira
• Keen eye for visual storytelling through photo and video
• Resourceful and scrappy - capable of creating compelling social assets with varying levels of source material available
• Ability to write strategy documents that will be used by agencies when applicable
