Director, Program Management (Streaming)
The Marketing, Data & Operations organization is responsible for the Consumer & Growth Marketing, Data & Insights and Business Operations for Pluto TV & Paramount !
The Central Project Management Office (PMO) within the Marketing, Data & Operations organization, is a team that serves as the through-line supporting the organization's diverse functions and touch points into Paramount and Pluto TV. We are at the cross-section of several functions including Consumer & Creative Marketing, Marketing Production, Content Strategy, Data & Insights group, Content, Business and Ad Operations, Podcasts, Marketing Acquisitions & Campaign Services, Audience Strategy & Search and more, all anchored around our Paramount subscription streaming service and Pluto TV, our ad-supported streaming service.
We seek an experienced leader and hard-working program manager who can manage highly complex programs and projects in a fast-paced environment through applying precision tracking, initiative, and creativity for ViacomCBS Streaming's Marketing, Data and Operations group. We are looking for a strong, highly motivated Director of Program Management who understands digital marketing, creative marketing, data analytics, is well-versed in the technical aspects of site, product, marketing, and data tools development across platforms and across different business models (e.g. AVOD, SVOD, Podcasts). This candidate will build out a team of Program Managers and guide our teams to deliver our complex, matrix, programs that are on time, on budget and with value, and will also work with cross-functional teams (i.e. Project Management, Business Intelligence & Marketing Analytics, Product, Ad Operations, Consumer and Creative Marketing (Domestic & International), Marketing Acquisition & Campaign Services, Podcast, Audience and Search Strategy and the leadership team). The role knows what it takes to manage large and complex projects, involving multiple partners and a diverse team of collaborators taking a program from inception to delivery incorporating change management methodologies!
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Build and establish a team of capable program managers with a focus on continuous development and process improvement
• Support planning and execution against our marketing, data and operations roadmaps
• Integrate with the business while driving inter-BU/Site projects with members across the organization
• Coordinate closely with project managers, product owners, analysts, managers and engineering to ensure successful delivery against complex programs
• Conduct performance reviews and set team goals
• Prepare and manage project plans, documentation, risk mitigation and resource management as needed for cross-team initiatives and large projects/programs and act as liaison between cross-functional teams (product, marketing, BI and Data) to drive end-to-end execution of programs
• Serve as the ''air traffic controller'' guiding initiatives, programs and objectives to deliver against aggressive timelines, and laddering status updates back to leadership
• Effectively apply and carry out ViacomCBS Streaming's development methodology and project standards
• Minimize exposure on programs by clearly communicating potential risks at every stage
• Create and ensure completion of project documents that remain current and organized
• Take ownership of program scope, risks and issues, driving them to resolution in a timely fashion
• Troubleshoot urgent issues and remove impediments for the teams as needed
• Identify and implement working improvements and a positive culture for both the team and wider business unit
• Be available for moderate travel between Los Angeles, New York and Florida offices (when viable)
• Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Business, Communications, Engineering or related field required or equivalent experience. Technical background required
• 7 years of experience in program management with a solid understanding of SDLC
• 10 years experience in project management, ideally a Project Manager for a large scale website (preferably streaming videos) and/or vendor based solution provider of enterprise technology
• Expert in all things Agile (Scrum, Kanban and other methodologies) including the ceremonies of backlog grooming, standups, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospective
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Asana, Airtable, Google Suite, and Slack with the ability to whip up a presentation or project plan when needed
• Experience with creative tools like Frame.IO and Digital Asset Management systems
Additional Qualifications:
• Passionate and knowledgeable about interactive technology and platforms
• Knowledge of video streaming products on Mobile, Desktop, OTT and Smart TV screens
• PMP Certification or similar Program/Project Management certification is a plus
• Basic proficiency and general understanding of development software
• Experience with heavily matrixed organizations
• Creative and reliable self-starter who delivers quality results
• Holds a bag of project planning tools, tricks and processes for road-mapping, planning, gantt, yet all the while fostering iterative processes and feedback milestones
• Strong mentorship and interpersonal skills
• Strong communication and status sharing skills
