CBS Brand Studio, a division of CBS Media Ventures (CMV), is responsible for developing branded content for CMV offering solutions for brands and innovating and improving our digital offerings in response to evolving client needs. The Brand Studio team manages the sales process from ideation to execution for integrated campaigns that run on social and digital platforms.
The director will support and specialize in pre and post-sales, helping to manage RFP responses, content ideation, and general presentation materials across multiple brands and dayparts, and establish standards for implementing digital and social campaigns.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:
• Brainstorm, ideate, and implement custom digital and social branded content and sponsorship opportunities that excite media buyers and clients, deliver value to our audience and drive revenue for CMV.
• Work cross-functionally with a wide array of internal partners including sales, editorial, production, legal, and ad operations, connecting dots and facilitating support for custom branded digital initiatives.
• Work directly with the digital and social teams of various CMV properties, including The Drew Barrymore Show, Rachael Ray, ET, Inside Edition, Dr. Phil, and The Doctors.
• Lead the digital arm of the RFP process, bringing innovative social campaign ideas forward that align with CBS' initiatives and social audience while organically integrating the advertiser.
• Lead the development of media plans, and post-sale execution of sponsorships and custom brand programs, driving process excellence, detailed execution, and client satisfaction.
• Evaluate sales trends to gauge demand and make recommendations on pricing and packaging strategies that improve revenue growth.
• Own team advancement projects (e.g. internal process audits and improvements) that create new efficiencies and improve work quality.
• Contribute to in-bound RFP requests, priority client programs, and business-wide ad sales growth initiatives by bringing a highly valued business unit expertise.
• Maintain a pulse on the media industry, understanding the needs, wants, and motivations of the buying community, and how to best define our offerings against the competition.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 8 years media or marketing experience at a media company, agency, or brand with an emphasis on custom marketing solutions or partnerships.
Additional Qualifications:
• Creative storytelling, writing, and communication skills, with an understanding of how to craft and evolve narratives.
• Expertise in optimization of branded campaigns on Facebook and YouTube.
• Talent in distilling complex information into simple, memorable terms that sales and clients can grasp and act upon.
• Ability to multi-task and lead various project elements simultaneously, with proven experience of working efficiently and cross-functionally.
• A bias for action, including a track record of strategic, original, and analytical thinking when working on projects proactively or reactively.
• Experience empowering employees, granting them the authority to voice their opinions and take ownership of their assignments.
