CBS Television Stations includes 28 CBS-owned stations in 17 major U.S. markets, as well as the stations' digital properties. The portfolio of stations includes 15 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates.
The station group's properties also include CBSN Local, a joint initiative with CBS Interactive that features direct-to-consumer streaming news services in the markets where the Company has local news organizations. CBS Television Stations' premium local content is also distributed to consumers by the group's websites and mobile applications.
WUPA-TV, Atlanta is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Journalist (MSJ) for our 10PM news to join our team! As our successful journalist, you will bring your passion for storytelling that captures our community. You flourish in being a resource for encouraging ideas daily as well as building a reliable network of sources. In this vital role, your presence, upbeat delivery will inform and deliver what's important to our community. Through your drive for perfection in writing, video and editing for both broadcast and digital/social platforms, your compelling shareable stories will continue to grow our audience.

Responsibilities
Include:
• Development story ideas, write, shoot, and edit news content for on-air daily newscasts.
• Pitch vetted stories reflective of the community.
• Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community.
• Produce content for Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Shoot and edit broadcast quality video for television newscast and digital platforms.
• Proficient on Premiere Pro.
• Work independently with accuracy and the ability to problem solve quickly.
• Experience with Broadcast ENG camera, lighting, audio and Live U a must.
• Strong social media skills and be able to contribute on all platforms.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Meet deadlines and project manage opposing priorities.
• College degree in Journalism/Communications/Broadcasting preferred, equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years MSJ/television reporting experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital production preferred.
• Newsroom setting work experience a plus.
