Search for Associate Producer jobs in New York-NY
We are looking for an Associate Producer for a Nationally Syndicated TV Show in New York City (please be a NYC local). The ideal candidate must have a passion for TV and be detail oriented and proactive. The Associate Producer will work directly with producers and editors for all creative content. We are looking for an individual with a communications, journalism, or TV degree.
Your Day-to-Day:
· Exercise editorial judgment in selection of content
· Write copy for Host and Correspondents for segments/readers as well as writing for feature and news packages
· Research and write questions for Host and Correspondents
· Work with editors to turn around pre-taped segments
· Pitch & execute exclusive or trending content
· Curating and Searching for Content (Pictures/Videos) for Day of Air Segments
Key Projects:
· Support the development and production of all exclusive content, writing and producing assigned features and cover stories
· Edit shows & packages in accordance with our rights clearances
What you bring to the team:
You have -
· A minimum of 1-2 years' work experience in broadcast news
· The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with intense deadline pressure and continually react to breaking news with smart programming and creative storytelling
· Strong communication skills to work effectively with different departments
· Time management skills
· Flexible Schedule (some weekends may be required) and MUST be able to arrive to work early.
· Team Player
· Familiarity and working knowledge of digital video production-related techniques and online content management
· A knowledge and passion for entertainment news
You might also have -
· Knowledge about social media and the competitive digital news environment
· Familiarity with news sources
· Basic video editing skills
